Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. It features traditional Japanese cuisine served in the dining area, suites with in-room hot springs and a garden. A Truly Special Traditional Ryokan Experience at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono We stayed at Fuji Onsenji Yumedono, a beautiful traditional Japanese ryokan located near Lake Kawaguchiko, and it was a truly special experience. We booked two rooms — one was a newer, modern villa-style suite in a separate area, which was absolutely lovely. The other room, for three adults, was located in the main building and was more traditional and a bit older in style. Each room includes a private onsen, which was a real highlight. Soaking in the hot spring bath after a long day of exploring was incredibly relaxing and luxurious. The main building has a cozy lounge with complimentary hot and cold drinks, available throughout the day — a very nice touch. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, offering some of the best service we encountered in Japan. Breakfast was served in a traditional Japanese-style dining room. Since we don’t eat fish, the staff kindly arranged a Western-style breakfast for us the next morning without any issue. Overall, this was a unique and memorable experience, blending warm hospitality, traditional charm, and modern comfort. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful and authentic stay near Mount Fuji.

Every room comes with a balcony with garden views. The location may be a little way off Lake Yamanaka but that means you enjoy the peace and quiet. You can also rent bicycles from the accommodation if you are not driving. Breakfast and dinner are both served in the dining area of your apartment so that is super convenient. It's a mini kaiseki experience at dinner and the menu changes every day. Breakfast is Japanese style. You will get fed very well! Room is comfortable and spacious. You also get to enjoy the private onsen right at your door step.

At the ryokan, each unit has a tatami. Some accommodation includes a terrace with garden views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with bidet. The units are equipped with heating facilities. Wonderful temple turned lodge. Beautiful and calming atmosphere with very kind hosts who are doing a great effort to accommodate for English speakers. In the evening there was a matsuri dance too, very skilled and interactive. We highly recommend the dinner and breakfast, it has some of the most tasty variants of soy beans I’ve ever eaten - especially the Yuba and Natto.

Located just a minute's walk from Kawaguchiko Lake, Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel offers accommodation in Fujikawaguchiko, near Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The hotel is a minutes' walk away from the shores of Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Herbkan. The view at the hotel is magnificent. Unfortunately, we didn't see Fuji fully on our stay. However, the staff is very nice and warm. Hot spring is very good. Bathroom is a little small, but manageable with a wide living room. We would love to come again.

Well situated in the Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo district of Fujikawaguchiko, Taiheikan is set 2 km from Lake Kawaguchi, 3.8 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 25 km from Mount Fuji. Each accommodation at the 3-star ryokan has mountain views, and guests can enjoy access to a hot spring bath and a public bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The hospitality was outstanding, which more than made up for the bad weather (and hence the cloudy view) during my stay. I was picked up and dropped off at the bus station, which was very convenient! My room was beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space for a solo traveler. The onsen was lovely as well, well-equipped and clean. Breakfast was amazing and served right away upon arrival. Regarding the location, there are plenty of convenience stores within 10 minutes of walk away. Also close by are two museums that close around 5 PM, so I would recommend arriving early to the town.
