The property is set on a beautiful mountainside block with a wonderful view looking across to the Gold Coast. Our room was spacious and decked out with all that we needed. With only four units on the property, we were really able to relax and just enjoy the nature as much as you can when travelling with kids! Jess was a wonderful host, the breakfast she made for us was great, and the kids loved the playroom above the breakfast space. We had a wonderful stay and only wished we had been there a couple of nights more.

The place is really nice, green area, beatiful garden and lovely house in an old european style. There are a lot of beautiful spots for making photos such as picturesque houses, gazebos and a castle. We liked the location, cave with the glow warms, coffe plantation, st bernard restaurant, waterfall and sky walk are nearby. We stayed in a house that has spa tube, fire place and coffemachine. We didn't use fireplace, as it was hot day, but sitting on the veranda was cool and nice because of rainforest around. And there is also a small bird feeder and various birds flew to the veranda in the morning.

Superb jaw-dropping villas in lovely grounds. A friendly kookaburra perched on the balcony! Lovely cinema room (you need to book it). The best cooked breakfast we had in Australia. Fabulous couples massage from the two spa ladies.

From the moment of arrival James and Ingrid made us feel at home. The homemade bread was irresistible, and the fridge and cupboards were well stocked. And the fresh, warm out of the oven afternoon tea was a delicious bonus! The outdoor area and view were peaceful and beautiful. A variety of birds and other animals visit and kept us amused with their antics. The accomodation was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend others to stay here!!

    We just loved this place. Way above expectations. Loved the bread and butter left for us. Could not believe the quality of the kitchen and contents. Very, very comfortable. Actually, we brought in a small Chinese group who were standing outside to show them some things of "old" Australia. They were thrilled. We kept on finding hidden gems right up until we were leaving and know there would be lots of things we haven't discovered about Rustic Cottage. Loved it!! Thanks Chris & Gordon

    Beautiful cottage, much bigger than it appears in photographs. The Canungra pub is just across the road for a terrific feed. Wood fire warmed the place up a treat . Lovely bathrooms and kitchen.

    Quiet and peaceful location close to Canugra. House was homely and well decorated, making it very inviting. Kitchen was well stocked with all items necessary to cook a meal, towels were thick and fluffy and bed linen was very comfortable. Host was incredibly friendly to deal with and provided a good insight into the area included tips on where to visit with kids. Large fenced space for the kids to play in and fantastic fire pit for evenings under the stars.
