Breakfast was good, if a little poor on choice. More than enough to get started though, and the convenience of having it delivered to the room (as well as the wide range of times available to have it delivered) vastly outweighed any shortcomings of the breakfast itself.

An absolute gem of a hotel. In a great upbeat location where buildings formerly serving the Port industry are now hotels and restaurants - and with perfect views across the Douro River to Porto. The staff are truly amazing - luxury service and anticipating all needs in a non-pretentious and non-fawning way. Great spa available without charge other than for treatments (i.e. massage). Very welcoming of our dog. We had a 1 bedroom suite with balcony overlooking river and Porto - it was just perfect. Bed and other furniture very comfortable. Fabulous breakfast offered as part of room rate. We also ate several other meals in the two restaurants (Pot&Pan and Bello Rooftop) - very nice menus, food was delicious and service fantastic. Convenient and safe parking in parking garage attached to hotel.

The person in charge of reception explained everything and took us acrosse the street to show us our apartment. The apartment is serviced daily, has an elevator, is luxurious, spacious and has all the comfort that one would need. The decor is beautiful. The kitchen was equipped with almost everything (needed to ask for a spatula and some dis washing liquid) but those are minor things. We had complimentary water daily, one bottle of wine and some port (complimentary). The cleaning services were excellent too. The whole apartment was comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. The place is within walking distance to several restaurants, minimarket, metro and train station and several historic sites.

The owner was very accommodating and met us on arrival allowing us early access to the property, the interior of the complete building was immaculate even including the entrance stairway. The room itself was absolutely lovely from the floral displays to the comfort of the bed - the kitchen area provided everything we needed for our stay and with two seating areas you never felt anything was an after thought and just squeezed in. The location was just right for us allowing short bus or metro trips to all that Porto has to offer or a very short walk to the local supermarket plus longer walk when the legs and weather allowed to the many bars/restaurants and sights around. Thanks for a lovely stay in your lovely apartment - we intend to visit again after we tick off a few other locations!!
