Castlefront Villa was absolutely a unique experience and probably one of the best Villas in Albania. It was located only 2 minutes on foot away from the old bazaar ( literally quite central) and it had its own parking on the site which is not very usual for the hotels in the old town of Gjirokaster. The view of the castle was jaw-dropping and all the landscape seemed majestic from our room . The exterior was built with the elements of the traditional houses in Gjirokaster, whereas the interior offered a high class decoration, with super modern equipment , extremely comfortable beds and crystal clear rooms. The hosts couldn’t have been more sweet , helpful and friendly. This villa isn’t for those who want just a bed and Wi-Fi. It’s for souls craving something quietly extraordinary. A place that doesn’t scream luxury but whispers magic. We will definitely come here each time we visit Gjirokaster and i totally recommend this villa to everyone!!

Lovely friendly and welcoming staff, Evi made us feel welcome straight away and got us checked in as soon as possible when we arrived earlier than expected, which was great! Where do I start, what a beautifully preserved and magnificent space to stay in. Our incredibly kind host took me through all the family history linked to the property. The furniture in the apartment is fascinating and it felt like taking a step back in time to stay there. It is a very spacious place to stay too. Access to the old bazaar is mere minutes. The view from the back door of the mountains is wonderful and as it was summer when we stayed the wonderful breeze that blew through the property when you opened the back door was a welcome feeling. Very clean apartment and bigger than expected. It was very cool inside and the bedroom had an airconditioning and blinds so you could make it very dark. Bathroom was clean and nice with a comfortable kitchen. Also an amazing location - around a 15 minute walk from the bazaar and around 30 minutes to the castle! The host was super kind as well.

In the old part of town and easy to walk to most everything. The best part was the guesthouse family. They made me feel like ‘family’ from the very first moment. Nothing was too much for them. I arrived and Joana’s father parked my car. Her mom had a traditional lunch waiting for me, since I had not eaten since early morning. My room was very spacious, bright and very clean. Decorated in traditional way. Outside my room was a shared kitchen, plus a frig with beer, soda, etc for purchase. The upper terrace with a view of the castle could be used at anytime. Breakfast was served viewing the castle. To ease my anxiety on how to find my way back to the highway Joana had a father & mother do a video. Piece of cake!
