Maybe it’s not much fancy and chic but it’s really nice and clear. You have breakfast at the terrace together with colourful birds and squirrels who are having their breakfast. There’s a small but well cared pool. And don’t forget about frog tour with Leonardo.

Friesy and Karina were the kindest, most helpful hosts that we have ever experienced! He helped us with our car rental flat tire and with our excursion details. Karina set our tv up with her computer so we could watch the college football championship. The breakfasts were delivered to us hot and delicious so we could enjoy by the pool. Karina took our clean clothes and dried them for us. Their rental is immaculate and they are the sweetest couple! Friesy told us to call him any time during the remainder of our trip if we need help anywhere in Costa Rico.

We really enjoyed our stay at Arenal Descanso. The family hosting us was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great. Especially, the Gallo pinto :) we loved to sit in the pretty garden watching the birds for the breakfast. Closeby are many restaurants and a river where you can swing into the water using a rope. It's fun!
