Kitchen is small but offers everything we needed. - although it was very windy during our stay, but we felt so safe and so cozy staying inside in the house and watching raining outside. Gave us kinda Iceland feeling! - maybe some people would find it a bit far away from the main road, but the drive to the house was just Amazing!! So we also enjoyed the drive very much - hot tube after a long hike was also one unforgettable experience

We spent there a romantic New Years Eve and we were more than amazed by this beautful experience. It is a family run bookstore/accommodation business for decades with nicely preserved antique interior. Host gave us a quick tour in the building. Kitchen was full of kitchenware, spices, sweets and food for breakfast. Lots of books, boardgames, guitar to play and so on. This is one of 2 best places in Vestfirdir for a romantic stay.

That day got a very bad weather condition and we try to request early check in and they reply early and let us check in earlier that help us a lot! Also the place was very cozy and warm ! I felt like it was a special opportunity to see the nature of a lava field, right next to a crater! We watched the sunset from the hot tub and slept so comfortably. It was great for my teens, who each had their own room after a week of much time together! We loved the photos on the walls. The house seems secluded, but is close to the road (but you can’t hear cars) and convenient to many locations. I would live here! Many thanks for the stay.
