It's a great location with 2 supermarkets 2-4 minutes by walk. The room was well equipped as well as the garden. We would recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxed vacation. Gabrielle was kind enough to show their tea garden and we had nice chats. It was a perfect holiday.

First of all, I’d like to mention the host — she was such a kind and lovely lady. We arrived on a rainy, stormy evening, and she was extremely helpful. She even brought us an extra heater right away when we asked. The house was beautifully decorated — cozy, charming, and had everything we could possibly need. The complimentary chocolates and drinks from the host were a thoughtful touch and made our rainy day so much nicer.

Lucida is a famtastic host. She makes you fell at home. We have enjoyed the very good breakfast too.

The space we rented is the old living quarter of the skipper on a vintage barge, including the wheelhouse, which is turned into a pleasant comfortable veranda. There is a nice living room and an intimate, comfortable bedroom, so pleasant to stay in. The view over the Zaan canal, to the old city is charming. One can park the car just in front of the gangway, which is a plus. We came to the Netherlands, especially for this barge and we did like it as an experience. The owners were so pleasant to deal with, always reachable on the phone and so helpful during our stay. Thank you for the wonderful time!
