Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant. We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little out of town but this also means it is very peaceful. You can walk down to the town via a delightful path through the forest. The path is well marked and easy to follow. The local bus service stops near the hotel too. The breakfast room has very nice views across the valley and the hotel restaurant serves very nice meals.

The staff was excellent, the food was exceptional even though we had reservations because it was a set menu. The facilities were also excellent and we had a lovely tower room.

Very very frendly stuff in hotel restaurant. The food was excellent. We had a breakfast and dinner. Also, there was a salad buffet in the evening. The sauna and wellness area was clean.

Yes, This was a great hotel. We were given a bigger apartment than we booked. Spacious, clean, everything we needed was there. We will definitely come here again.

The hotel was perfect, clean, staff very friendly, good food, a room with games and pool table, spa and pools and the view is amazing.
