Great place to stay, you will enjoy the place. Design of this place is very unique. I will recommend to all my friends. We have enjoyed outside spring.

With an open-air bath, the 2-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. Guests can use the spa facilities, or enjoy mountain views. Room was spacious and clean, dinner delicious. Onsen was great and staff very helpful and friendly. The location is a bit further off the traffic infrastructure then I realized during the booking but this didn't make our stay in this lovely accommodation and town any less magic.

Ryokan Daymaruya is a 15-minute drive from Snow Monkey Park and a 25-minute drive from Shiga Kogen Ski Resort. Heiwa Kannon is a 10-minute walk away. We LOVED our stay. The owners and friendly, kind, helpful and welcoming. Our room was large with a private wash closet. (Shower room is common). They picked us up and dropped us to the train, took us up to the snow monkeys and offered suggestions and advice about locations in town. They are always kind and we were happy to run into them in the hallways and say hello. They have male and woman baths and a private osen also available. You can place your order a traditional breakfast in advance of the morning if you want one. They have a map of the local area with recommendations for food. We really enjoyed our stay.

Offering a free-use reservable hot-spring bath, shared indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths, and traditional multi-course dinners with Shinshu beef, Shibu Hotel is 8 minutes from Yudanaka Train Station on the free shuttle. The traditional rooms have Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. Owners and staff are extremely pleasant and kind. Onsens were wonderful. We booked a Japanese room and it was huge! And the free shuttle from station and to snow monkey park was an added bonus!
