Store Ringheim’s restaurant is open on most days and serves a variety of homemade meals. Guests also have the hotel bar in which to relax after a day out in the surrounding mountains. It also has a garden. This is a beautiful history place family owned. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. A great sense of hospitality.

The place was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. The host was really nice. We loved spending time on the terrace right above the water and enjoyed Kafé Marifjøra, which is very close.

Hiking and cross-country ski trails are found nearby, and a shop and gym are within 10 minutes’ walk. The host was very lovely. Accommodation was like a gem in paradise and the location breath taking.

If you would like to discover the area, hiking, skiing and cycling are possible in the surroundings. Marit and Björn were wonderful hosts! Very caring and helpful - it was a pleasure talking with them every time we met. The cottage was very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The terrace is one of the highlights with stunning views of the surrounding areas. Great hikes in the vicinity and Gudvangen is only a 15-minute drive away from where you can take the ferry to flam. I highly recommend this place!

The house was perfect in every way—cozy, beautifully maintained, and with the most stunning views over the mountains and lake. Waking up to this scenery felt like a dream. The host Jarle was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Very nice house close to the bus station. Some reviews said that there were no blinds and was missing a hair dryer but when I got there, all windows had blinds/curtains and hair dryer was stored in the bathroom. Overall, it was really pleasant to stay here.

We stayed only for 2 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and has an amazing view. It was super clean and had all we needed, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels. Beds were very comfortable, which is important to us. Also, you can completely darken the rooms, another big plus. The communication with hosts was perfect. They are very thoughtful and provided a list of attractions, restaurants, and hikes in the area. That was really useful since the area has so much to offer and it helped us choose the activities for our limited time there. We went to Briksdalsbreen glacier. The house is near a ski resort, so it must be a great place to stay in the winter. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.
