    Lovely staff. Spa was great and hardly anyone in it - seems unusual for spas these days so lovely place to relax with good facilities Breakfast was great liked the location in Ambleside, near all the shops and eateries. Other spa hotels are up the lake. May have better views (but we got great views walking) but the Salutation is brilliant for all the independent things in Ambleside

    Loved this hotel, everyone is friendly. Perfect location. Very clean, loved the room with sauna and hot tub. Also had a massage whilst I was there, which was lovely. Breakfast was included and was lots to choose from and tasty food. Perfect birthday treat.

    Having the steam room, hot tub and sauna in room. Spotlessly clean. Spa facilities and pool were great. Had dinner last night and breakfast this morning and couldn't fault it. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. Don't want to leave. Will definitely return

    We stayed in a Lakeland spa room with private hot tub and sauna also private balcony which were all absolutely perfect the room itself was spotless and lovely decorated too also the bed was really comfortable,the staff are all lovely and friendly also the hotel itself was nice the breakfast was also good too, literally didn't hear any noise after 10pm until around 07.30am when people start to go for breakfast or to use the spa facilities,we stayed for my boyfriends birthday and we would definitely stay again

    All of the staff were welcoming, polite and efficient. The guest rooms, lounge areas, bar, restaurant and spa facilities were all modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic gym, indoor pool and the huge outdoor hot tub. We had a very relaxing two night stay and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a modern, comfortable, spa hotel which has a super location, in the centre of Ambleside.

    Great delicious food, big choice for breakfast. Fantastic spa facilities, outdoor hot tub was amazing clean and big enough, great swimming pool and saunas, jacuzzi. Great gym with very new equipment. Clean bathroom and bedroom. Very comfortable lounges, relaxing atmosphere. Lovely staff all way round. Great massage too.
