We had an amazing stay in Matera. The room was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The entrance, tucked away in a small square off the main street, was right in the heart of the Sassi. Giuseppe and Tiziana were exceptional hosts, offering excellent service, including the option to store our luggage after check-out. They reached out to us beforehand with helpful information about where to park for free and advised against bringing heavy luggage due to the steps and cobblestone streets. Giuseppe also shared a wealth of knowledge about Matera's history and even gave us a brief tour of the reception 'cave' and the water tank located beneath the house.

Boasting a garden and views of city, Il Geco is a recently renovated apartment set in Matera, 60 metres from Casa Grotta nei Sassi. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio.
