The hotel is 600 metres from the First Cable Car Station and lies 100m above the centre of Grindelwald. Its rooms and sun terrace have magnificent views of the surrounding scenery. The property faces Eiger (mountain/glacier) and having breakfast facing this every morning while the FIRST gondolas pass by and paragliders land on the field next to the hotel is pure Swiss magic. The location bypasses the town buzzing with tourists as it sits 100 meters in elevation above the town- avoiding the congestion of a popular destination. It does however have a walking path into town but, coming back up could be challenging if you’re tired. By the way, we did enjoy the pavlova dessert at the hotel restaurant!

Bristol hotelはツェルマット中心部の静かなロケーションにある家族経営のホテルで、鉄道駅とクライン・マッターホルン・ケーブルカーの間に位置します。スパエリア、館内全域での無料WiFiを提供しています。 Hotel Bristolでは、ほとんどのお部屋からマッターホルンの素晴らしい景色を望めます。... 予約サイトの予約システムがあまり普通でない提案をしていたのに気が付かず予約をしたのですが、そのような事情であるにも関わらずホテルスタッフは親身に対応してくれ、無事にマッターホルンの街に宿泊できました。とても親切ないスタッフでした。 お部屋はマッターホルン側ではなかったのですが、角部屋だったので、小窓から顔を出せばマッターホルンが見えます。また、部屋からは、おそらくモンテローザの頭だけがのぞめます。それこそマッターホルンの朝焼けの前に、モンテローザのつの部分が赤く染まります。それはそれで美しいものでした。

The Arc-en-ciel hotel in traditional Chalet style is a hotel situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Gstaad, next to the Eggli cable car station, close to the car-free centre. Our Comfort room could be used together with the one next door, if you were travelling as a family. There was an outer door that kept any noise level from the corridor to a minimum. Breakfast was substantial and the restaurant was well used by both guests and non guests. Very attentive staff in the restaurant. A genuinely friendly and professional gentleman called Weil was on hand at check in and check out making us feel everyone in the hotel were keen for us to have a memorable stay. The car parking, private spa for an hour and the ski equipment hire all included in the cost of our stay were amazing
