Octant Douro is set in the southern margin of the Douro River, km 41 of the N222 road. It is 10 km from the centre of Castelo de Paiva, 40 km from Porto, 60 km from Porto International Airport and 160 km from the Spanish border. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

Great attention to the guests and their needs. Very nice accommodation with many different areas indoor and outdoor to enjoy the facilities. The quality of the food both for breakfast and dinner is just great! They also provided quite a lot of info regarding activities and even booked a buggy trip for us. Really cool!

Every detail was thought out for the most luxurious stay and it was full of surprises! I was so excited to stay but so surprised when we arrived by how incredible it was. I never wanted to leave. The staff made you feel right at home and I was so relaxed. We had s private wine tasting on the veranda by the vine leaves which I think was the highlight of my trip around Portugal 🥰 thank you a million times. Not to mention the architecture of the rooms, I could go on
