What an absolute delight to stay at Die Tuishuise. We had no idea of the history of it all - so were surprised and delighted to discover everything when we got there. Such a delight to meet Lisa, and to have her share a bit of the history and story with us. We were very lucky to get to go through a bunch of the houses, to see how each one was decorated and styled. Every single one is an absolute joy! We had an excellent dinner at the hotel - and loved chatting to Amos who also shared lots of interesting stories about the establishment. This is definitely a place and space that deserves more than just an overnight stay, as a stop off en-route somewhere. We will definitely be back to spend a weekend at least!

Situated in Loerie, 53 km from Port Elizabeth, Intle Game Lodge features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the sea. Jeffreys Bay is 27 km from the property. Very nice hotel, rooms with a great view, beautiful surroundings, we did a nice walk on the property and met Jerry, the giraffe. The dinner was again excellent. I can recommend this to everyone.

The House Quarters is set in Kenton on Sea, off Route 72, 22 km from Port Alfred. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. A clean ,practical & comfortable apartment - lovely views , with a fabulous breakfast served next door from 8-10 am . This also serves as a restaurant with an upmarket gift shop with wonderful views and helpful staff - just check the restaurant is open re evening meals as it’s seasonal but highly recommended . Car parking is free , open but quiet & safe . . A lovely experience and they spoilt us by giving us a complimentary upgrade super apartment with river mouth views. Thank you !

Located on a private concession within the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, River Bend Lodge offers luxury accommodation, spa facilities and private game drives. Free WiFi is available. The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.
