If you want a larger room, more bed space, and prefer to spend your funds on things to do (or eat!) instead of quaint accommodations, you gotta try this hotel. It's close enough into Charlottetown to make travel there easy, but near enough to all the main roads to make exploring the whole island easy from one base location. Staff could not have been more fun and informative AND helpful. Housekeeping staff was terrific, too, we just had to ask and it was done.

This Prince Edward Island hotel is 2.5 miles from downtown Charlottetown, which features shopping and dining. The hotel has a seasonal outdoor pool and rooms with a flat-screen TV.

Very clean and quiet apartment. The beds were comfortable and wifi worked very well. The gardens surrounding the motel are lovely and exceptionally well maintained. The lady that checked us in at the front desk was very nice and offered suggestions for places to dine nearby. Reasonable rates so would definitely stay there again. A vehicle is needed to stay at this hotel but it's a quick 15 minute drive into downtown Charlottetown. The motel is also a quick drive away from Brackley Beach.

Situated in Charlottetown, 300 metres from Confederation Centre of the Arts, The Hotel on Pownal features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden.

From check in to check out my experience at The Pownal was great. It's close to my favourite restaurant, The MerchantMan (check out photos). This was my tenth stay here and looking forward to my next trip to Charlottetown.

Very friendly staff, very clean facilities and probably one of the best breakfasts we have had at a hotel. Fresh waffles, omg sooooo good.

The comfort and location. The staff was very polite and friendly.

Staff were Lovley and very accomodating, place was very clean and very comfortable beds, great location, walking distance to local restaurants and some small shops. Was a great value for money. Owners and workers went above and beyond for us.
