Charming apartment located in a peaceful village just a few minutes from Interlaken, which matched our expectations perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped, and the apartment offers a good level of comfort overall. I've been to 6 hotels during this trip and Arenas resort was definately the best of them. Clean. Super comfy beds, warm room despite the cold weather in Wengen. Great view from the hotel room. Great breakfast.

Location is great, close to train station where easy to get access to the nearby attractions. (loved the free train ticket to Interlaken). The room was nice with view to the mountains and the bed was very confortable. Breakfast selection was better than what we got in the other hotels travelling around Europe. But mostly we liked the staff, all very friendly and helpful. It is a great hotel with good value for the money.

We just loved the style of accommodation at this unique hotel. The historical nature of the building and the silver service at meal times were just excellent. Staff could not be more helpful, in some cases anticipating our requirements. The fact that the establishment has been held in the one family for so long adds to the overall appeal of Hotel Kalken.

Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean room with unobstructed panoramic views over the entire valley. Hotel is very well situated, just a short walk from the train station. Beautiful welcome upon arrival. Excellent breakfast/dinners with service that was attentive, professional and friendly. Lovely dining room with breathtaking views. Food was beautifully presented with a good variety of breakfast and dinner choices. An outstanding hotel with a staff that works extremely hard to provide their guests with a wonderful stay, which I certainly had. Thank you. Highly recommend this hotel!
