The food was excellent, and the host, Ratan Jana, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Ratan is an expert guide registered with the forest department. He has a wealth of information about the Sundarbans, its history, ecology, and many fascinating facts about the famous tigers of the Sundarbans. I was there to work on a photo story, and Ratan was extremely helpful in getting me in touch with the locals.
