Our room had a balcony and sitting out there enjoying the peace, tranquiltiy and beauty of the surroundings will remain with us as one of the highlights of our trip. The room had everything we needed and was beautifully presented - comfy bed, great shower and very clean. The use of the kitchen was much appreciated with good quality condiments etc available - fresh herbs growing on the terrace too! If you don't feel like cooking (and the nearest restaurant is over 20 kms away) you can buy ready-made frozen meals on site. A generous breakfast was provided - everything is there, you just have to prepare it yourself. Coffee/tea on tap. Loved the eco-friendly philosophy of the place. Highly recommended.

The nearby Rose Cafe provided a lovely dinner and is also a welcoming and vibrant place with great staff. Frederic was a most congenial host who served a delicious breakfast. We would definitely return!

I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.
