Quiet, friendly and home-like budget hotel. I booked for 2 nights, but I liked it and extended a few times for about a week. It's located in a green and leafy tourist precinct, next to Botanical Gardens, about a 20 minute drive from downtown. I especially liked having so many trees and beauty around, quiet (hotel is at end of small pedestrian alley), and the manager is kind and helpful advice on many different topics (she can speak OK English, rare in Hangzhou). Because the hotel is small, sometimes other guests stop and chat with you, which I liked. There's also really a lot of restaurants and cafes around, including a couple of cool and delicious ones. I stayed in one of the top level attic rooms, it's quite small and low roof, but quiet. The weekends in November got very busy in this area with tourists and traffic jams - but it's still nice to walk and bicycle around. The manager helped me to rent a bicycle through my phone, thank you! Cosy and great value!

It represents the amazing old Chinese traditional house. I loved the colors, warm tone and very relaxing. The hotel had some hidden zen spots ( an outside garden and an internal court with many plants), great for pic or morning relaxation

A tour desk can provide information on the area. This is a little local gem in Dongzha (eastern part of Wuzhen) run by an incredible lady who makes sure you have everything and anything you need. The place was spotless, spacious rooms, with a river view. Location is excellent, in the most authentic part of Wuzhen, makes you feel local rather than a tourist. Our host provided us with some local snacks, helped us to get the luggage in and out, and also helped book a car with a driver. She is an amazing host - highly recommend!

She did offer a welcoming wanton dish, truly tasty and well balanced. The bathtub was very enjoyable. This accommodation was within walking distance from the East Lake, and from the famous Dragon Tea plantations. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Really quiet district not far from Xihu. The Subway station is not that far, but the distance is not walkable. We mostly used didi (Chinese taxi) to get to the temples or parks. It wasn’t more than 20 yuan. Room is clean, facilities are new, toothbrushes are stylish. The street nearby is full of the restaurants. We found a really nice tiny family restaurant (where mostly locals eat). The food was great.
