Set in Koyasan and only 39 km from Kishi Station, 高野山 宿坊 大明王院 -Koyasan Shukubo Daimyououin- offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star ryokan offers full-day security. Matsushita Park is 45 km away and Subaru Hall is 47 km from the ryokan. An unforgettable experience at Daimyououin! Staying at this temple was truly special: the atmosphere is timeless, peaceful, calming, and serene. The room was beautiful, with a breathtaking view of one of the temple’s gardens. Both dinner and breakfast were not only delicious but also well presented. The priests were kind and spoke enough English to make us feel welcome. We also joined the morning prayer, which was a touching experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this Shukubo to anyone looking for a meaningful and authentic stay in Koyasan! すべてありがとうございました。 とてもすてきな たいざい になりました。

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- is set in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Kii Fudoki No Oka Museum of Archaeology and Folklore. Offering free private parking, the 3-star ryokan is 38 km from Kishi Station. Subaru Hall is 48 km away and Jigenin Temple is 49 km from the ryokan. It was a true temple stay and quite traditional so a great experience to remember. The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable including cushions and low table to sit at as well as comfy lounge chairs and coffee table for sitting options. When we went to dinner the monks came in and prepared the futons for the night and when we went to breakfast they came in and packed up bedding to return room to day configuration. The meals were beautiful vegetarian cuisine, nutritious and beautifully presented in private dining rooms, both dinner and breakfast. We went to the early morning prayer ceremony which was a lovely experience. Just 6 or 7 couples where we listened to chanting and the monks prayed for the wellbeing of the world.

Set in Koyasan and only 38 km from Kishi Station, Koyasan Shukubo Fugenin offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This 3-star ryokan offers luggage storage space and bicycle parking. Matsushita Park is 45 km from the ryokan and Wanpaku Park is 47 km away. We stayed two nights in Koyasan at Fugen-in temple and it left a long-lasting impression of serenity and kindness. The temple has a long history and many works of art. Attending the morning prayer was a meditative experience. The monks were very friendly and explained about the Haiku temple in Fugen-in's garden. Breakfast and dinner were amazing, so well-balanced and lovingly prepared. The room was clean and had everything we needed, we felt well taken care of. The water of the onsen was very hot and relaxing. Fugen-in's location is perfect, very central and right around the corner of the tourist information. What also stays with us is the beautiful sound of the local cicadas.
