He took good care of us showing us around the Uros islands and explaining his culture. Don’t expect luxury when you are staying at a lodge, the luxury is the location itself. The absolute highlight of our stay is when Joel was returning us with his boat to Puno after the sunset and he literally made a bed with blankets and duvets for us to lie down and enjoy the ride while we were observing the Milky Way! Loved every moment of our stay!

Bright and spacious, rooms at Tierra Viva have stylish furnishing and large windows. All of them have private bathrooms with toiletries. Some of them also have breakfast counters and balconies. the staff were incredibly helpful and kind, helped me resolve a problem with my itinerary and made sure i did not get ripped off by the taxi driver. the complimentary cookie upon arrival is a grea touch, along with the tea and coffee. the bed is the widest i have ever seen, and the breakfast buffet is great.

Mama Lea, Papa Mario and Ivan were amazing. Such an incredible experience with the most loving and passionate people we met in Peru. Food was freshly cooked by mama Lea and the tour with the explanation of the culture and traditions of the uros people from papa Mario was amazing. Mama lea made sure we were warn at night being the winter and provided hot water bottles. These were a luxury as we were not cold with all the comfy blankets in the incredible room with views to die for. Muchas gracias mama lea y papa Mario

Rene, as well as the other personnel are so nice, friendly and helpful. One of my best accommodation not only in Peru but ever. My honest recommendation to everyone.

A good location hotel in the center of Puno with very comfortable beds, quiet & clean rooms. The bathroom included shower was perfect with hot water. Breakfast was amazing! The staff was friendly and always helpful! We had amazing family holidays there! Hope to return to Puno and this hotel again.
