Everything! The house itself is an amazing gallery with so many art exhibits, all of them lovely. The home theater system is truly great, very easy to use. The owner helped us with knowing the house and how to handle anything in it, he made us feel like home. Great location, right in the middle of the old town, just 13 minutes walk from the Takayama station so it is very easy to get to. If we will ever be back in Takayama, there is absolutely no doubt, I will try to sleep there again ! Seriously, if it is available, don't hesitate, you won't have another chance to sleep in this kind of accomodations..

Like this place, clean and Japanese style tatami. The bathtub was great can relax, after a long day of walking. Owner was good prepared a book which consisted information about the town n food options.

What a beautiful, spacious, and clean property for a stay in Takayama! It was perfect for our family, close to grocery stores and only a short 10-15 minute walk to restaurants and the train station. The hosts are amazing people and also go the extra mile to ensure a clean and comfortable stay for their guests. Highly recommend!

    This little slice of heaven was a perfect retreat and immersion into traditional Japanese-style living. Absolutely everything was so perfect in every way. From the Daifuku treats on arrival (by far the most incredible Japanese sweets we have ever savoured) to the refreshments in the minibar, the traditional outdoor bath, futon style bedding, yukatas to wear during our stay, the impeccable interior design and styling.

    Lovely Japanese house in a beautiful village. Situated next to a small creek and eating options. There is a gorgeous little garden with a bath tub which we thoroughly enjoyed.

    We visited Takayama as part of our honeymoon trip and Jackson went out of his way to make us feel welcome at the Iori Lounge & Spa studio apartment! Great location near the old town, spacious room & nice private bath (automatic functions that fill the bath + maintain the temperature, so luxurious!), pajamas, good breakfast, nice amenities.

    Fantastic traditional style Japanese home with all the modern amenities. Our favorite stay in all of Japan for a great price! Just enough outside the main drag to still be easily walkable, but in a VERY local village. Just perfect.
