The name doesn't stand only for marketing purposes, it really is a paradise. The owner is really friendly and helpful, he called me before arriving to make sure I'll arrive at the correct location, he turned on the heating so it will be warm and cozy up on my arrival. The accomodation provides you everything you need for a beautiful escape in the nature.(fully equiped bathroom, fully equiped kitchen, patio area, sunbeds, etc) There are also 2 swimming pools, a petanque playground and free parking places. I higly recommend it ! Will be back for sure :).

Les Eyzies is steeped in pre-history - you can see 17,000 year old cave paintings right there in the village. Our house at Domain de Comtesse de Dordogne was beautifully furnished and fully-equipped to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The houses are set among extensive grounds, with a river, a fishing lake and a waterfall – birdsong is everywhere. Each house has a well-furnished shaded patio, with barbeque facilities and we ate outside a lot. Although other houses were occupied while we were there, we hardly saw anybody, and we had the pool to ourselves. The owners, Jean Claude and Lizette, were very friendly and helpful, both before and during our visit. We didn’t have a car with us, so it was useful to have a supermarket and bakery just minutes’ walk away. The house we stayed in was light and airy with a huge modern living room giving beautiful views over the grounds. We thoroughly recommend this place.

The hosts Laurence and Damien do everything they can to take wonderful care of you and make your stay perfect. Damien is a fabulous chef and the meal we enjoyed with them was the favorite of our vacation. They made personalized suggestions for sightseeing and made us feel cared for and at home. The countryside property is exquisite. Our room had a stocked kitchenette, great shower, and comfortable bed.

We were worried when we were driving through the town to get here as it wasn’t as quaint as we expected, but as soon as we got to number 36 our worries disappeared. The host was welcoming, and so were the sheep and goats :) We stayed in the 2 bedroom holiday home/apartment which has its own little balcony to sit and enjoy the scenery. The 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, bathroom, and kitchen were well equipped and immaculately clean. We didn’t use the pool because this was just a quick stopover for us, but it looked clean. You could comfortably stay here for a longer term stay.

Tina and John are so lovely, and helpful, made me feel so welcome. my room was perfect: tastefully decorated, attention to detail, comfortable. and lunch (I brought my own) and breakfast the next morning on the big terrace with the montgolfieres rising on the horizon was stunning. Roque-Gageac is a busy town but le Coin Tranquille seems far away from the hustle and bustle and yet, in ten minutes you can be down in the midst of it all.
