While not actually in Guimaraes we used Uber (Bolt also available) to get to the town for just 5 Euros each way, which gave us a welcome break from driving. Although on quite a busy road, inside the apartment was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to communicate with and excellent in answering any questions we had. All in all this was a very good place to stay.

Also just 1min walktime there is a lovely grocery store and cafe where you can get nice breaki! The appartment is just lovely and the hosts where very kind!

Large and we'll equipped kitchen. Owner made port and red wine. Pellet fired water heating system. The friendly owners of the market across the street who opened the store for us during their dinner. The owner came to greet us with his friendly dog after we checked in and his recommendation for Daniel Ferreira for a private day tour in Douro.

It is not far from the center of Porto and it is not far from the airport (less than 30 minutes by Uber and only about 35 euros). It was so peaceful and relaxing at the pool. We loved it. The owners/manager are very attentive and welcoming.

We arrived as guests and left as friends! Julia and Antonio could not have been kinder hosts. The apartment was immaculate, pristine clean, very comfortable and modern. The shower was super hot and powerful. Everything felt brand new. There was a lovely pool, garden, bbq facilities and washing machine. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed seeing Braga and the local sites. We were on motorcycles and the ride to and from Carvalho was delightful.
